Wonderland starts with a full bodied single origin from Don Francisco and Blanca Nieve's farm in Jinotega Nicaragua. We first tasted this coffee back in April and instantly knew it had to be one of our holiday offerings. It hit us with notes of gingerbread, marshmallow, and baking spices that sent visions of sugarplums through our heads despite being surrounded by blooming flowers. We then added 10% of our natural Sidama Qonqana introducing a pop of sweet red fruit on top of the layered sweetness of the Nicaragua. It comes together beautifully with notes of gingerbread, dried cranberry, toasted marshmallow, chocolate, and baking spices that oozes holiday spirit in every sip!
This is no marketing gimmick. For every 12oz bag of Open Seas coffee you drink we are actually giving an average of 210 L of clean drinking water to real villagers in one of our source countries. That is over 35 days worth of potable water per bag. Through our 10-4Farmers Initiative we are investing 10% of our profits into sustainable water filtration systems for coffee farming communities and surrounding areas. Click here for more details.
